About Raymond
Raymond Martin heads to London as the world record holder in the T52 wheelchair class in the 200 meters, and the American record holder in the 400 and 800 meters in his class. Martin will compete in the four races between Sept. 2 and Sept. 8. Martin’s coach, Jimmy Cuevas, said wheelchair racers are classified by their mobility, with T54 the most mobile and T51 the least.
Martin set the 200-meter world record at the U.S. Paralympic Trials in Indianapolis on June 30. Martin set his 800-meter record at the Paralympic Trials as well, and set 200-meter and 400-meter American records at the Swiss Series in Switzerland in May.
